I have been able to communicate with animals my entire life. My earliest memory of this was a dog who lived with friends of my parents. I was not quite 3. He was a beautiful Russian Wolf Hound with the kindest and gentlest soul. When we visited, I would sit down and untie my shoelaces and telepathically ask him to take me for a ride. He would then grab my shoelaces in his mouth and pull me around the house. We would have the best time. He would take me in whatever direction I would suggest to him in my mind. Often, he had great ideas of his own. Stairs were the most fun. The adults, of course, were astounded every time it happened and it happened every time. |

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. As an only child, adopted at birth, I frequently felt like I just didn’t fit in. Growing up in L. A., in one way or another, I was always around the entertainment business and eventually it became what I thought I wanted to do with my life. It was someplace I felt I fit. While a student at UCLA, I began working as a page on the Norman Lear show’s that were so popular in the 70’s. Eventually through trial and some tribulations I was lucky enough to land in the Publicity and Marketing department of The Ladd Company and found my second family in the guise of Bob Dingilian. I worked with him on such films as The Right Stuff and Bladerunner and again with him at Columbia Pictures on such films as Starman and A Soldier’s Story. I then went on to work as Celebrity Coordinator for Hands Across America and followed that with my own company Celebrity Access which provided celebrities for and coordinated their participation in charitable events. At some point between the Ladd Company and Columbia Pictures, I began to lead a double life of sorts. The exploration of metaphysics that I began in my late teens had grown and expanded and also included seeking assistance through methods of natural healing. During this time I was led to healers and practitioners who helped me find my true path. Through the wonderful help of these healers I learned to accept that truth and love it. This began a wellspring of gifts that began to open up to me. One of these was re-membering my ability to communicate with animals as well as to sense energies. So, I began to explore these gifts with friends, who eventually referred their friends, who became clients. All the while I was continuing my life in the entertainment business, neither side knowing the other existed. This went on for a number of years and then literally within days my career in the entertainment industry vanished and was replaced by my soul’s work. Early on, I was gifted to have the opportunity to appear on numerous radio programs. This led me to many wonderful relationships over the years. As the work grew, it opened the door to still more exploration and deeper kinds of work. I have been working as an animal communicator now for a bit more than 20 years and in that time have included people and places in the work that I do. I have learned various modalities of energy work and opened to seeing through the many veils that inhibit us from being who we are really meant to be. I have been blessed by many wonderful teachers and have been lucky to study shamanic practice with shamans such as Serge Kahili King, Amanda Foulger, Sandra Harner, Ph. D. And Michael Harner, Ph. D. Of course, I still lead a bit of a double life. I am also a jewelry artist working in a number of mediums including freeform, peyote stitch beadwork and wire work. I have recently begun to explore baskets, and larger media through beads. I have had my work exclusively for a number of years at Two Heads Studio in South Pasadena. They recently closed and as I have been devoting a great deal more time to my metaphysical work, the beads wait. They do call to me every now and then and I am sure when the timing is right, they will make a space for me to work with them again. This part of my life did lead me to leave Los Angeles. In the mid 90’s I spent a number of years in Seattle exploring beadwork and it’s associated fields and then a few more years still in Huntington Beach (a compromise to stay close to L.A. and still have access to all the great bead and jewelry work going on in San Diego County). We now make our home in the hills above L. A., enveloped and held lovingly by our own little grove of healing, grounded, magical oaks. My companion family Zowie, Emerson, Kismet and Kaya (yes, a small herd of cats), Henry the Amazon parrot and Bodhi the Labradoodle make their home here with me. My offices are here at my home as well (downstairs for animals and upstairs for the bipeds). I am truly grateful for every opportunity I get to share the energy of this grounded and healing place with my clients. ENDORSEMENTSCISCA STELLHORN |
